The cottage

The cottage has two floors. On the ground floor, you’ll find a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove and an open-plan kitchen equipped with a combi microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, milk frother and electric kettle. The bathroom with shower and sink, as well as a separate toilet, are also located on the ground floor. Upstairs are two bedrooms, each with a comfortable double boxspring bed (queen size, 1.60 m wide). The beds are made upon arrival and towels are provided.

Outdoor living

The spacious, enclosed garden is perfect for relaxing. Read a book in the hammock or enjoy a cup of coffee or a nice glass of wine on the terrace. Thanks to the fencing, your dog can safely roam freely (the fence is approximately 80 cm high). The garden supports biodiversity with birdhouses and native plants that attract birds and insects. Squirrels regularly visit the garden, especially in the morning when you have a good chance of spotting one.

Comfort in every season

Even in less-than-perfect weather, the cottage is a wonderful place to stay indoors: play a board game, watch your favourite series and films on the smart TV (no cable TV; streaming via your own streaming services), or listen to your own music on the Marshall speaker. The cottage is completely gas-free and heated with air conditioning, a wood-burning stove in the living room, and electric heaters in the bedrooms and bathroom. All windows and French doors are fitted with insect screens, allowing you to enjoy the fresh forest air with everything open – without insects.

The park & surroundings

The cottage is located on a quiet, privately owned park where peace, privacy and nature take centre stage. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool (open from May to September), a tennis court, a pétanque area and a playground. Fresh bread can be ordered and bicycles can be rented via the reception (bike rental also available from May to September). The area is ideal for walking and cycling. The park lies at the foot of the Lemelerberg and close to heathlands, the ‘Sahara’ sand dunes, the Archemerberg and the rivers Vecht and Regge. The charming town of Ommen is just 6 km away, and Dalfsen is also well worth a visit.

Guest access

Guests have access to the entire cottage. Entry is via a smart lock, and the access code will be shared prior to arrival.

The cottage is located on a private park where peace and privacy are highly valued. We kindly ask guests to respect this during their stay, so everyone can fully relax.
